The Avon Company announced its impending exit from the Puerto Rico and Caribbean markets, effective August 30, 2023.
The company cited the sustainability and long-term profitability of the business, as well as declining populations, increased operating expenses on the islands and challenges incurred by natural disasters and the post-pandemic landscape as significant factors that contributed to this decision.
Avon emphasized that it is committed to investing in its U.S. and Canada operations and will continue to explore new options for expansion.
