Zurvita Giving, the philanthropic arm of Zurvita, with the help of thousands of Zurvita distributors, raised $70,000 to help build a home for a family who fled Africa as refugees. More than 100 Zurvita distributors volunteered to build the home in partnership with Habitat for Humanity in Houston.
The home benefits Niyibitanga and Nsaguye, who arrived in the U.S. several years ago with their five children and Niyibitanga’s parents and brother. The couple’s 17-year-old son Jean Claude described the new home as “very exciting” because the family had always lived in apartments.
“I am so proud of our Zurvita family coming together to provide this safe and comfortable home for a family in need,” said Jay Shafer, CEO and Founder of Zurvita. “As a company, we strive to help families feel and live their best every day, and we hope we’ve aided Niyibitanga and Nsaguye in that same way through this initiative.”
